Dedicated to my fellow teachers and classmates

Dear teachers and classmates,
This very day brings me many feelings, both joy and sorrow. Today, we are concluding a significant chapter of our own lives, and a advancing towards a new world. To face a new world filled new opportunities and adventures, and I certainly believe that we should be proud of ourselves and our achievements. What I look forward to this very day is that we finally can go our own and having the opportunity of accomplishing our ambition without compulsory school restricting our options. The coming time awaiting us is a blank slate that we are free to fill, and I wish that you can fill it in a way that is satisfying to yourself.

What sheds me some tears about this day is the tearing apart of our class and the fellowship between each one of us, that has prevailed during all these years. We will be shattered into small pieces, never being able to be restored to its former entirety and somehow, the very feelings that distinguishes our class from the others will just fade away like the blown wind. It pains me not being able to experience anything alike, and also never being able to meet each other and our mentors  the same way as before. Nevertheless, how distant our class or these moments that we’ve shared with each other may seem, we will never forget what was left of us!

I have attended Carlshöjdsskolan since fifth grade, and a lot has happened and changed during the passing of these five years. We have matured, grown up and gone through many things together, and without you'll I would never come to be the person I am today to begin with. Initially I was quite reclusive and had many social difficulties, but through you and the my fellow teachers, I have been able to relieve my difficulties while improving myself in a faster rate. Both as a student and an individual.

Our have class have accomplished many feats. Among them all being awarded third place in the national semi-final in the nation-wide competition Vi i femman, and the second place Västerbotten, as well as an unforgettable trip to Malmö and Copenhagen. We have also participated and indeed come quite far in both the mathematics competition SigmaÅttan as well as Teknikåttan, so what is the means of achieving our success? Well, given that our class is in general quite  intelligent success seems to be inevitable, but we additionally collaborate and exchange our thoughts and opinions in such a way that it somehow forms a cohesivness where everybody is contended and can take part of, thus increasing our potential. I am very proud us and what have brought forth, and I finally hope that we could see each other as a whole, sooner or later!

Heléne
Heléne undertook our tuition of Swedish and English during my three years of upper compulsory school and I would undoubtedly classify her as a fantastic mentor. My first impression of her was definitely not that what you would call ”soft", but the more time we spent with each other the better we could know her as a person. As a teacher Helene was and still is fairly strict, disciplined and systematic. She sets high expectations on her students and constantly motivates us to further develop our abilities, even though she might seem to be slightly softer during the recent semesters. To me, Helene is not only a teacher but an knowledgable adviser as well, and I am really appreciative of her giving the student instructive criticism and providing him or her a clear path for improvement.
Another appreciative quality of Helene is her pursuit of innovation and creativity. Not only does she not use the guidelines at all times, but Helene also aspires to make her lessons diversified and engaging, as well as encouraging her students to think divergently.
I am very grateful of your tutelage, Heléne.

Lena & Andreas
Lena and Andreas assumed the role of our class superintendents during the first two years I spent on Carlshöjd, and their contribution to my own development has been substantial. It was through Lena and Andreas I learned how to socialize with my peers and setting a stable foundation to my later academic achievements. Besides being highly competent teachers, me and my classmates have also spent many memorable experiences together with Lena and Andreas, and sometimes consider them ”parental figures."
Without Lena and Andreas, we could obviously not get as far in Vi i Femman, nor Sigma Eight unless Lena would’ve encouraged us. Without them I wouldn't either have been able to experience two unforgettable years in middle school, or come to be the person I 'm currently familiar with.
Thank you for taking care of us, Lena and Andreas!

Johan & Jenny
Johan and Jenny also assumed the role of our class superintendents during my three years of upper compulsory school, or more precisely two as Johan began teaching us in eight grade. Johan and Jenny were always there for us no matter what, and through them, I have been able to develop even more during the recent years.
When Johan started his teaching at Carlshöjd his shy and reclusive nature made him having bad reputation by many, but to my astonishment he gradually opened himself up and at the present time I can only think of him as a great mentor. Johan is a very helpful person and I really appreciate him taking account of both the strong and weak students and trying to devise his lesson in such a a way that it benefits everyone.
I’m very grateful to have the opportunity of meeting both him and Jenny ...

Finally, I would just like to wish all the best to both teachers and students alike. There is so much that we can accomplish in our short lives, but whatever the outcome: Make sure to be satisfied with the path you have chosen!
